operation move out

The operation is definitely going to be on Friday now, and I'm going in on Thursday to have an injection. I shall keep the tube (or cannula) that goes in with the injection for the rest of the day and night. Therefore I shall have to stay the night in Hospital. On Friday they'll put the cannula into use by making me go to sleep using an anaesthetic. I am a bit anxious about everything but mostly about what the bandage will feel like and also the anaesthetic. Sophie xx

Hi Sophie

Feeling anxious is perfectly normal, and we're not at all surprised that is how you feel. Sometimes we have to let other people put right the things we can't control, and that is just what you are doing. Feeling brave by yourself is not always easy, so I hope you realise that everyone you know is feeling brave with you and we will all be sending lots of positive thoughts to you while you are in GOS.

Lots of love, as always,
Nicki, David and Kate

Good luck, Sophie

You're a very brave girl and we are proud to know you. I know you will be looked after well and we will think of you on Friday. Our little Oscar is really looking forward to getting to know you, so we'll arrange a date to come and visit later on in the summer - meanwhile, we hope it all goes well and we see you before too long.

All our love, from
Henry, Maddy, Freddy, Hugo & Oscar

Goodness Sophie, you do write well! I wish I was as good an author as you! You won't remember me, but I sing with Daddy from time to time, and you all came to see me at my cottage in Herefordshire many years ago. You were only 3 or something, so I am sure you won't remember it. But I remember you, and will definitely be thinking of you on Friday. Good luck (and make sure Daddy keeps you well supplied with Galaxy at every opportunity!)

Hi Sophie,

Good luck on Friday, we'll be thinking of you! We've enjoyed reading your blog - what a great way to keep everyone up-to-date with all your news. We've never met you, but we're Scottish friends of your Daddy and he comes to give concerts with us sometimes.

Hyia Sophie,
Well first of all I'll let you into a secret.......I have never written a blog before, and it has taken me ages to work out what to do.....but don't tell anyone that!!!

The first time that I met you was at Duncan's parents house, it was Halloween and you were dressed as a witch, and as I recall a very beautiful witch.

We will all be thinking of you on Friday, be brave, and look forward to all the lovely things that you can do during the long school, holidays, what a lot of fun you will have feeling so much better.

We are all sening you huge hugs and lots of love from Jane, Duncan,
George and Cameron xxxx

Hi Sophie!
What a great photo of you pretending to kill Jack! And what a pretty photo of you all dressed in pink holding the French bread - is that in your garden?
The Fitzpatrick family will all be thinking of you and praying for you on Friday - you are such a brave girl! It is normal to be scared, but you know that the Doctors at GOS are the best in the world! They will look after you.

Love from Sonja, John, Conor and Aran xxx
